Facegreet is a social networking web site designed to attract people of any age of all walks of life to chat and meet people from around the world. The site allows you to chat to people online, make new friends, talk to existing friends and provides various
options so you can have as much fun as possible.

Registration on facegreet is completely free! All the features are also free for new members and unlike other sites out there. We have created Facegreet for you to enjoy and this is our aim. We would, however, like to hear from you concerning ways it can be improved.

When we feel we have enough members we might start charging new members If they wish to use the extra features only. Rest assured, however, you will always be able to use the site and all the features absolutely free and you will only be asked to pay for extra features if you want to use them.

You may also experience issues logging in If you have been suspended from Facegreet although this is done only under very rare circumstances and have not followed our terms of conditions. You would have received an email notifying you this is the case providing your email address when you registered was valid.

Note: You will also require Javascript enabled to use the features of the site. Some firewalls disable cookies so you need to ensure this is not the case. Disable your firewall temporarily and try again. If you manage to get in then you know it is down to a firewall setting.

You can add a photo to your profile my going into your 'My Profile' page and selecting the 'My Pictures' option. You will then be asked to upload a photo of your choosing as well as a caption restricted to 30 characters in length. Please see our photo policy before uploading. Your photo will be available to everyone to see. You can zoom photos on the profile page by hovering your mouse button over any photo. The larger photo is a larger representation of the thumbnail photos used on search pages. Cool!

Registration is required if you plan to email members and take advantage of the online features that are available. Registration is free and you are not required to post your real name. You are required to post your actual email address. After registering you will be able to post and reply to messages using a username and password. Keep this information safe. It is completely up to you and we're not going to force you. There is no harm in entering accurate information and it helps us and others find out more about you. The My Account section is the menu system of Facegreet. It presents you with all the options available for navigating around the site easily and quickly. It allows you to view and reply to messages, edit your account and profile details, add to your personal notepad/journal and much more. Alternatively, you can use the slide in menu system at the left of each page.

The Notepad is simply a page displaying your details and gives you the option to type in your personal notes that only you can view. Feel free to type or copy and past any text in this area such as member information, appointments or things to do. You are restricted to 1,000 characters so you should have more than enough space to write anything!

Adding a user to your personal buddy has been designed to be easy. You can add users in two ways.

1) Access it from the members page. Click on the Buddy List ( Add) link provided on this page or

2) from your Inbox. Anyone that sends you a message can be added to your buddy list quickly using this method. Click here to view this page.

Clicking on the 'Add this member to my Buddy list' will add it to your list at the top of the screen. The name is only added to your list when you click on this button. This page also allows you to add a brief description for this member as shown below. You can also block messages here.

Yes you can. Go into the My Account section and you will be able to view your details and change them. You will not be able to change your username or be able to change the details for anyone else. See the My profile section for more information. You can also update your personal profile as well.

Go to your 'My Profile' page and select the 'Edit Profile' option. This page will allow you to update information concerning yourself such as hobbies and interests. The My Profile page also contains all your other site features. Edit Account can be used to change information entered when you registered.

Go to you the 'My Account' page and select the 'Change Password' menu option. All of your menu options are available on this page. Please do not tell anyone your password and keep it in a safe place. Certain restrictions apply when changing your password and it must be 4 - 30 characters in length. Try using a combination of characters and numbers to make it more secure and avoid simple words that someone can guess. We advise you toi change your password periodically to make it more secure.

Facegreet uses cookies to determine the last time you visited and to persist your login information (if you choose to save your login.) If you do not have cookies enabled in your web browser, you will not be able to login. Certain Firewalls including ZoneAlarm may block cookies and this option needs to be disabled. See the section header, Why Can't I log in? for issues.

All links on the Facegreet site work. The reason you may experience issues with links is because some of them may require a popup window appearing and you have popups blocked in your browser. Usually, you will be notified if this is the case by looking at the status bar at the bottom of the browser screen although this may depend on the browser being used. Click the link and the left "Control" (or CTRL) key at the same time. This should resolve the issue with popups.

Certain buttons may not work If you do not have certain settings in your browser enabled. For security reasons some options may be disabled and may have to be turned on or set to prompt user. This applies mainly to Javascript and also Active X controls. Javascript needs to be enabled for some buttons on the site to work. Examples include the cancel or back button and Active X needs to be enabled to view Flash animation content. If Java settings are not enabled you may not get an error but the button will simply not work. You can use the browser back button If you prefer not to activate this feature in the browser. Cookies must also be enabled to log into the site and for it to work as expected.

Buddy Spy is an option that allows you to view the names of members that have actually added your name to their Buddy List. Buddy Spy will not show your name in the list if you have been blocked but will give you a clear indication concerning who has their eye on youer profile and might be interested. Send them a quick message in the form of a teaser and see what happens. All quick messages will send a sexy logo to the member with the words "Teaser".

The Report Abuse button has been specifically set up to allow our members to report abuse of the Facegreet policy concerning profile content. This includes profile descriptions, photos uploaded and movie clip used. Facegreet has a strict policy concerning profile information which contains content which is of offensive nature, pornography, advertisements, not genuine or copyright material. Facegreet reserves the right to decide and what is inapproprate and this decision is final. Please refer to photo policy our for more information.

Absolutely. None of the information you send us when you register will be sent to anyone or distributed to any company. We will also NEVER ask for your Facegreet password. Keep this information to yourself and never disclose any private information to anyone. See our privacy policy for more information.

Certain restrictions apply when uploading a photo concerning format and size. Every photo uploaded needs to be resized automatically and If your photo is too large in dimensions this will cause an issue. Files that exceed 800MB will also be rejected as this is far too large and you will receive an error.

Try scale down your image using a graphic program like Photoshop. Alternatively use a paint program provided by your PC. Facegreet accepts all general formats including GIF, JPG/JPEG, TIF, BMP and PNG. JPG is the suggested format for photos and all photos will be concerted to this format when uploaded. Please read our photo policy before uploading.
